A housewife was hacked to death allegedly by her husband following a family feud at Chheria village in Maheshpur upazila of Jhenaidah on early Sunday.
The deceased was identified as Firoza Begum, 45, wife of Abdul Kuddus of the village.
Quoting locals, sub-inspector Akbar Ali of Bhairaba police outpost said the couple locked into an altercation around 1:30am.
At one stage, Abul hacked Firoza with a sharp weapon, leaving her dead on the spot, UNB reported.
On information, police recovered the body and sent it to Jhenaidah Sadar Hospital morgue for autopsy.
Police arrested Abdul from a nearby village in the morning, the SI added.
