A man allegedly committed suicide after killing his wife at Saraspur in Mollahat upazila in Bagerhat on Thursday.
The deceased were identified as Imran Biswas, 26, son of Zafor Biswas, and his wife Sumaiya Akhter Nirma, 21, daughter of Abu Bakkar Sheikh, residents of the village.
Abu Syed Md Khairul Anam, officer-in-charge of Mollahat Police Station, said Imran beat up Nirma over family feud on Wednesday evening, leaving her critically injured.
Later, the injured was admitted to Khulna Medical College and Hospital where she succumbed to her injuries in the morning.
Bringing her body home, Imran committed suicide by hanging himself from the beam of his room, said the OC, reports UNB.
