Bangladesh Meteorological Department (BMD)today forecasted light to moderate rain or thundershowers accompanied by temporary gusty wind at many places across the country in the next 24 hours commencing at 9 am today, BSS reports.
"Light to moderate rain or thundershowers accompanied by temporary gusty wind is likely to occur at most places over Dhaka, Mymensingh, Barishal, Chattogram and Sylhet divisions and at many places over Rangpur, Rajshahi and Khulna divisions with moderately heavy to heavy falls at places over the country in 24-hour till 9am tomorrow," said a met office bulletin issued here this morning.
Day temperature may fall 1-2 degrees Celsius and night temperature may remain nearly unchanged over the country, the bulletin added.
The highest rainfall in the last 24 hours as of 6 am today was recorded 63 mm at Barishal in Barishal division.
Country's maximum temperature yesterday was recorded 35.0 degrees Celsius at Mongla in Khulna division and minimum temperature today was 25.0 degrees Celsius at Mongla in Khulna division and Feni and Kutubdia in Chattogram division respectively.
Today's sunset at 6.33 pm and tomorrow's sunrise at 5.33 am at Dhaka.
