BNP Chairperson Khaleda Zia reached Cox’s Bazar around 8:00 pm on Sunday to visit Rohingya camps in Ukhia upazila, reports Channel 24.
Amid rousing receptions by her party leaders and activists at different points from Chittagong city to Cox's Bazar district town, she arrived at the Circuit House without facing any untoward incident like Saturday.
Khaleda Zia is expected to visit the Rohingya camps at Balukhali, Boalmara and Jamtoli on Monday.
The BNP chief will distribute relief materials among 10,000 Rohingya families and visit a medical camp set up by pro-BNP physicians' body, Doctors' Association of Bangladesh (DAB).
Earlier, on Sunday afternoon, Khaleda Zia started her journey to Cox's Bazar from Chittagong.
Khaleda left Gulshan residence at 10:45am on Saturday, reached Chittagong at night and stayed overnight at the Circuit House.
Meanwhile on Saturday afternoon, her Cox's Bazar-bound motorcade, carrying other BNP leaders and members of the press, came under attack by miscreants at Mohammad Ali Bazar near Feni district town.
Khaleda will return to Chittagong in the evening, and expected to come back to Dhaka the day after.
