A baby, who was born with joined legs in Sirajganj on Monday, died following complication.
Lovely Khatun, 22, wife of Yunus Ali of Potazia village in Shahzadpur Upazila, gave birth to twins with both legs of one joined together at Shahzadpur Upazila Health Complex. After sometimes of their birth through caesarean section, the baby with the joined legs died, said Masud Rana, medical officer of the health complex.
However, the gender of the baby could not be known as the lower part of the baby from waist was joined together and it looked like a half-snake, he said.
People from different parts of the district thronged the hospital premises to see the baby, creating curiosity among the people, reports UNB.
