HSC student Rafi wants to live

A first year HSC student of Dhaka Udyan Government College, Md Nahiyan Rafi (17), has got heart disease and needs immediate treatment to survive.

He has been suffering from ventricular tachycardia with intermittent complete heart block. To save him, MRI compatible dual chamber ICD (pacemaker) needs to be fitted on emergency basis and it will cost around Tk 700,000.

The family has been struggling hard to manage the treatment expenses of its young member.

Rafi has been taking treatment under the supervision of Dr Md Towhidul Huq, professor of cardiologist at BMCH, and Dr Md Mohsin Hossain, professor of National Institute of Cardiovascular Disease (NICVD) for more than a month, says a press release.

The father has sought help from the able persons of society to continue medical expenses.
