Health and Family Welfare Ministry will be introducing a hotline number for people to lodge all sorts of treatment-related complaints.
Health and Family Welfare Minister Mohammad Nasim said, “A signboard bearing the hotline number will be placed at all public and private hospitals across the country to help people make complaints regarding any sort of irregularities at the hospitals.”
However, it would take some time to introduce the service countrywide, Nasim added.
A committee would be formed to receive and convey the complaints to the authority concerned. A policy will soon be formed in this regard, the minister added, reports BSS.
Director General of health services Professor Dr Abul Kalam Azad said, “We have already started working on it, we will soon introduce a hotline number after talking to Bangladesh Medical and Dental Council (BMDC)”.
