HC rules over establishing e-judiciary

The High Court (HC) on Sunday issued a rule asking as to why it shall not passed order to bring all the courts in the country under e-judiciary project and to establish e-courts.

A High Court division bench comprising Justice M Enayetur Rahim and Justice Md Mostafizur Rahman passed the order after holding primary hearing on a writ filed in this regard.

“The court ordered authorities concerned to submit report within 90 days on progress in establishing e-judiciary,” petitioner Supreme Court lawyer Farhad Uddin Ahmed Bhuiyan said.

Advocate Bhuiyan filed the writ, making nine officials including ICT secretary, cabinet secretary and law commission chairman as respondents, reports BSS.
