The High Court has deferred its order on a petition seeking bail to BNP Chairperson Khaleda Zia in the Zia Orphanage Trust graft case until Monday.
A bench of Justice M Enayetur Rahim and Justice Shahidul Karim went for the deferral on Sunday, as Khaleda's case documents are yet to reach the court.
After receiving all of her judgement related documents from the lower court, it will pass the order around 2pm on Monday, according to the bench.
BNP Chairperson Khaleda had her 880-page bail petition filed on February 22 in the graft case in which has been behind bars since February 8, when a court sentenced her to five years in jail, reports UNB.
The petition, which Barrister Nowshad Jamir and Barrister Kaiser Kamal filed on her behalf, shows 31 grounds for her bail.
