Information Minister Hasanul Haq Inu has said the government will establish information complexes soon in the first phase at 26 district headquarters of the country.
"The ‘Construction of 26 (1st Phase) New Information Complexes with Modernisation of Development Communication Activities' project now needs approval of the ECNEC for its implementation," Inu said.
The Minister disclosed this while addressing a meeting with local officials of Rangpur Kendra of Bangladesh Betar, Rangpur Sub-station of Bangladesh Television and District Information Office at Rangpur Circuit House in Rangpur on Thursday.
Rangpur Regional Director of Bangladesh Betar Sayed Mostafa Kamal, Senior District Information Officer Md Humayun Kobir and Engineering In-charge of BTV Rangpur Sub-station Humayun Kabir briefed the minister about their ongoing activities, reports BSS.
The Minister directed the officials concerned for properly disseminating the information among the common people about massive developments and successes achieved by the present government during the past nine years.
Deputy Commissioner Muhammad Wahiduzzaman, Additional Superintendent of Police (Circle-A) Saifur Rahman, Joint General Secretary of JASOD central committee Shakhawat Hossain Ranga, Regional Engineer of Bangladesh Betar Md Atiar Rahman, its Deputy News Controller Rashed Foysal Kabir, among others, were present.
