State Minister for Foreign Affairs Shahriar Alam said the incumbent government attained remarkable success in education sector.
He mentioned the government attached highest priority to the education as it plays vital role for boosting the sector of skilled human resources.
He came up with the remarks while addressing the farewell of SSC examinees and fresher's reception of Chowmohani Shaleha Shah Muhammad High School under Charghat Upazila in the district on Wednesday afternoon as chief guest.
State Minister Shahriar Alam said the country is progressing fast in every sector, especially in improving foreign policy, ICT, food production, power generation and distribution, education, women empowerment, foreign remittance earning, GDP and per capita income.
"We've already stepped into that stairs as Bangladesh has been declared a lower middle-income country from the lower-income nation. Bangladesh doesn't want to stay at the lower ladder... it wants to climb to the peak and we will do whatever necessary for that," he said.
"We firmly believe that we will soon elevate to the status of middle income country", he added.
Mentioning that Bangladesh was moving ahead on all fronts, he renewed his government's vow to turn the country into a peaceful abode in South Asia, reports BSS.
Shahriar said the Awami League government would once again come to power as the people would re-elect the party for continuing the ongoing development spree and improving their living and livelihood condition.
