Engineer Md Sekander Ali Khan, a freedom fighter and retired General Manager of Bangladesh Cycle Industries Limited, died at the age of 71 at a city hospital on Saturday last.
Sekander Ali Khan was graduated from Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology (BUET) in 1969 and completed his M.Sc. from the University of Strathclyde, UK in 1981, according to a press release.
After serving in the public sector for 24 years as a chief engineer for various industries under the Bangladesh Steel and Engineering Corporation, he retired as the General Manager for Bangladesh Cycle Industries Ltd, and subsequently served as a consultant to the International Labor Organisation and in the private sector, reports UNB.
He is survived by his wife, son, daughter and grandson.
