Four technocrat ministers have submitted resignation letters following the instruction of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina.
According to UNB, Expatriates’ Welfare and Overseas Employment Minister Nurul Islam BSc submitted his resignation letter to the Cabinet Division on Tuesday evening.
Nurul Islam's personal secretary Abul Hasnat Humayun Kabir submitted the resignation letter to the Cabinet Division on behalf of him around 6:30pm.
Meanwhile, several televisions and local agencies said, three other technocrat ministers also submitted resignation letters this evening.
They are Religious Affairs Minister Principal Matior Rahman; Posts, Telecommunications and Information Technology Minister Mustafa Jabbar; and Science and Technology Minister Architect Yafesh Osman.
Earlier in the day, the Prime Minister directed the four technocrat ministers to quit the cabinet.
However, the other ministers will remain there as usual in their respective posts.
