Dhaka, the capital city of Bangladesh, is more expensive than Frankfurt of Germany , Brussels of Belgium and Boston of the United States.
Mercer’s 24th annual Cost of Living Survey, released on Tuesday, ranked Dhaka at 66th costly city for foreigners among 209 cities of the different countries of the world.
In fact, Dhaka is the second most expensive city in South Asia after Mumbai (55th) of India for the expats.
Hong Kong is in top spot as the most expensive city to live in the world as an expat followed by Tokyo, Zurich, Singapore and Seoul.
The world's least expensive city for expats is Tashkent, sitting in 209th place in the list, below Tunis and Bishkek.
