Flight operations remained halted for more than five hours at the Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport (HSIA) on Thursday.
The air service disruption continued from 5:00am to 10:15am in the morning.
"We were forced to suspend flight operation again this morning due to the dense fog starting from 5:00am," said CAAB spokesperson AKM Rezaul Karim.
He said the flight operation was resumed at 10:15am.
Besides, one US-Bangla airlines and one Regent Airway’s flights from Kuala Lumpur were diverted to Chittagong.
An Air Arabiya flight, scheduled to land at 9:00am, could not land until 10:15am at HSIA.
Departing international flights of Biman Bangladesh Airlines and Regent Airways to Kolkata departed delayed after 10:15 am this morning, said Karim.
Apart from international flights, numbers of early morning domestic flights of Biman Bangladesh airlines, Novo Air, US-Bangla Airlines and Regent airways were delayed due to dense fog, reports BSS.
The flight operations are being disrupted at HSIA in last couple of weeks due to heavy fog.
