Five employees and officials of Biman Bangladesh Airlines were placed on two-day remand by a court in Dhaka on Saturday for their alleged involvement in disclosing a recruitment test question paper prior to the examination.
The remanded employees of the national airliner are Awlad Hossain, 21, Md Jahangir Alam, 36, Enamul Haque, 28, Md Harun-ur Rashid, 40 and Mahfuzul Alam, 31, according to BSS.
As they were produced before the court this morning, police pleaded for granting a seven-day remand for the sake of proper investigation into the scam.
Dhaka Metropolitan Magistrate Shanta Akhter passed the order after hearing both sides.
Earlier on October 21, the recruitment examinations for 100 posts of the national carrier agency were suspended due to the allegations of question leak.
Police in a subsequent action, arrested the Biman officials for their alleged involvement in the question paper leak on the same day.
On October 22, they were placed on a six-day remand by the court.
