Fisheries Minister Sayedul Hoque’s 1st janaza held

The first namaz-e-janaza of Fisheries and Livestock Minister Muhammed Sayedul Hoque was held at the South Plaza of Jatiya Sangsad.

The first namaz-e-janaza was held at 10:20am on Sunday.

Before janaza, a guard of honour was given to the late minister.

His body was taken to his constituency in Nasirnagar by a helicopter where his 2nd namaz-e-janaza is scheduled to be held at Ashutosh Pilot High School ground around 11:00 am.

President Md Abdul Hamid, Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina, Speaker Dr Shirin Sharmin Chaudhury, Deputy Speaker Md Fazley Rabbi Mia, placed wreaths on the coffin of Sayedul Hoque.

Later, the President, deputy speaker, ministers, lawmakers, senior leaders of Awami League and other political parties, well-wishers, officials and employees of the JS joined his namaz-e-janaza.

He will be buried at his family graveyard at Purbobhagh village of the upazila following another namaz-e-janaza after Zohr prayers, said Public Relations Officer of the Fisheries and Livestock Ministry Shah Alam Badshah, as per UNB report.

Sayedul Hoque, also a Liberation War organiser and Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman’s political aide, breathed his last at Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujib Medical University (BSMMU) on Saturday.

Sayedul was made the fisheries and livestock minister after Awami League formed the government in 2014.
