At least 33 shops were gutted in a fire that broke out early Tuesday at Ferry ghat intersection in Khulna city.
Iqbal Bahar Bulbul, deputy director of fire service, said the fire broke out at around 6:00am and engulfed 33 shops mostly of winter cloths, reports UNB.
Eight fire-fighting units from Boyra and Tutpara rushed to the spot and brought the fire under control within half an hour, he added.
The origin of the fire could not be known yet.
