A fire that broke out in a 15-storey building in the city’s Bijoy Nagar area early Monday has been doused, UNB reports.
The fire started on the 12th floor of Akram Tower around 6:30 am on Monday, said Shahjahan Shikder, deputy assistant director (media cell) of Fire Service and Civil Defence Headquarters.
On information, five firefighting units rushed to the spot and doused the blaze after an hour, he added.
No casualties were reported and the cause of the fire could not be known yet, said the official.
