Eight people were killed and 371 injured in 29 incidents of political violence in first two months of the current calendar year, according to a local independent rights body.
Of the incidents, infighting in the ruling Awami League killed two and injured 163 people, according to the data of Ain o Salish Kendra (ASK).
Apart from this, clashes among the activists of Jubo League killed one and injured 12.
National parliamentary election violence claimed four lives, it added.
Some 67 people were killed and 7,287 injured in 701 incidents in 2018, the ASK data added.
