Holy Eid-ul-Azha, the second biggest religious festival of Muslims, is being observed in Bangladesh on Wednesday, reports BSS.
On this day, Hazrat Ibrahim (AS) has set an incomparable example of love, obedience and sacrifice to Almighty Allah by taking steps to sacrifice his beloved son Hazrat Ismail (AS) on the directive of Allah.
Today is a public holiday in Bangladesh.
A total of 409 Eid congregations were held in the capital under two city corporations.
Of those, 230 Eid congregations were held under the Dhaka South City Corporation (DSCC) and the rest 179 under the Dhaka North City Corporation (DNCC).
