Holy Eid-e-Miladunnabi will be observed across the country on December 2, commemorating the birth of Great Prophet Hazrat Muhammad (Peace Be Upon Him) on this day of the month of Rabiul Awal with divine blessings for the mankind.
According to a National Moon Sighting Committee at a meeting at the Islamic Foundation office in Baitul Mukarram took the decision as the moon of Rabiul Awal of Hijri 1439 has not been sighted, an Islamic Foundation release said on Sunday.
Presided over by Religious Affairs Secretary Md Anisur Rahman, the meeting was attended by Joint Secretary of Cabinet Division Mohammad Mezbah Uddin Chowdhury, Joint Secretary of Religious Affairs Ministry Md Hafizur Rahamn, Information Ministry Joint Secretary (press) Mizan-Ul-Alam and Additional Principal Information Officer Fazle Rabbi, among others.
