Another man faced the tragic end of his life as a garbage carrying vehicle of Dhaka South City Corporation (DSCC) hit a man at Wari in the capital on Thursday.
With this accident, a total of three deaths were reported within a month, sparking much criticism.
Quoting the locals, a sub-inspector of Wari Police Station told the Financial Express (FE) that he (Swapan) was hit by a waste vehicle of DSCC at around 7:00am while he was crossing the road near Rajdhani Super Market at Wari. He died on the spot.
On information, police rushed to the spot and sent his body to Sir Salimullah Medical College and Hospital morgue for an autopsy.
He said the driver of the vehicle was still at large and police were trying to arrest him.
Earlier on November 24, 2021 Nayeem Hasan, a student of Notre Dame College, lost his life when a garbage carrying vehicle of DSCC hit him near Gulistan Hall Market.
Another person named Kabir Khan faced the tragic death as a waste carrying vehicle of Dhaka North City Corporation (DNCC) hit him in Panthapath area on November 25 last.
The drivers of the two vehicles were arrested later.
The DSCC and DNCC authorities have also formed separate committees to investigate into the incidents.
