Members of Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) detained a suspected drug trader along with 3.25 Kg heroin from a frontier village under Godagari Upazila in Rajshahi district last night.
The arrestee was identified as Rabiul Islam, 25, a son of Rafiqul Islam hailing from Madarpur village under the same upazila.
On information, a team of the elite force raided Uzanpara area around 11.30 pm and arrested Rabiul, said RAB officials.
The team also seized huge contraband item, two mobile phone sets, four sim cards and 1,880 Taka in cash from his possession.
A case was filed with the concerned police station in this connection and the arrested person along with the seized goods was handed over to the police, reports BSS.
