Officials of Directorate General of Drug Administration (DGDA) visited 57,175 pharmacies in the fiscal year 2017-18 (FY18) across the country as part its regular duty to monitor them.
The DGDA also visited 61,945 and 57,734 pharmacies in 2016 and 2015 calendar years respectively.
The drug regulatory authority visits the pharmacies to monitor whether the proprietors are selling spurious drug and expired medicine.
