Dhaka North City Corporation (DNCC) Sunday evicted some 250 illegal establishments in the city from the footpaths and roads.
A team, led by Md. Zulkar Nayen, executive magistrate of the DNCC, conducted the drive in city’s Nikunja area and evicted the temporary shops and make-shift structure on Sunday.
The mobile court also fined Tk 5,000 to a person for keeping the construction materials on the footpath and road.
The drive was conducted between 11:00am to 3:00pm.
Such drives and mobile courts will continue in the coming days, according to a press statement issued on Tuesday.
