Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) in separate mobile court drives on Wednesday fined people and different modes of vehicle a total of Tk 58,000 for allegedly violating the government’s social distancing measures amid the ongoing coronavirus shutdown.
Several DMP teams, headed by its executive magistrates, conducted the drives in the capital and fined 32 people and 14 vehicles for breaching the order.
Law enforcement agencies with the help of Bangladesh Army have been implementing the government directives on social distancing throughout the country aiming to stem the spread of coronavirus.
