Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) in separate mobile court drives on Wednesday fined different people and business entities a total of Tk 56,600 for allegedly violating the government’s social distancing measures amid the ongoing coronavirus shutdown.

Several DMP teams, headed by its executive magistrates, conducted the drives in the capital and fined 36 shop owners, 44 people, and a motorcyclist in 82 cases for breaching the order.
