Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) on Thursday fined different people and organisations a total of Tk 75,200 for allegedly violating the government’s social distancing measures amid the ongoing coronavirus shutdown.
DMP teams, in separate mobile court drives, headed by its executive magistrates, conducted the drives in the capital and fined different people and vehicles for breaching the order in 57 cases.
Law enforcement agencies with the help of Bangladesh Army have been implementing the government directives on social distancing throughout the country aiming to stem the spread of coronavirus.
