Traffic division of the Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) in regular drives realised Tk 3.367 million as fine money over the violations made by drivers and riders of automobiles on Monday in Dhaka.
Therefore the DMP filed 4,291 cases against different modes of vehicles over the violations on the city streets, according to DMP data.
Of the total cases, 358 were filed for wrong side driving, 62 for using hydraulic horn, eight for using hotter and beckon light and 19 others for using tinted glass.
The department lodged 1,391 cases against motorcycles and seized 87 others for violating traffic rules.
In addition, the DMP also dumped 35 vehicles and wrecked 737 others.
