Train communications on Chattogram, Netrakona and Bhairab were suspended on Friday following derailment of a train bogie at Balashpur in Mymensingh city.
A bogie of a Mymensingh-bound freight train from Chattogram veered off the tracks at around 4:30 am causing a halt in train movement, said Zahurul Islam, superintendent of Mymensingh Rail Station.
A relief train was immediately sent to the spot to salvage the train, UNB reported.
The incident led Netrakona-bound 'Haor Express' train to remain stranded at the station.
