Detective Branch (DB) of police arrested an alleged drug pedlar along with more than 200 pieces of Yaba tablets from Jonny tower area under Keraniganj police station of Dhaka city early Tuesday.
The arrestee was identified as Jahirul Islam, 45, a resident of Keraniganj, according to a media report.
Acting on a tip-off, a team of DB conducted a drive in the area and detained Jahirul with Yaba tablets, said Dipak Chandra Saha, officer-in-charge at detective branch of Dhaka district (South).
A case has been filed with Keraniganj Model Thana in this connection.
