Police have reportedly filed a five-day remand prayer with the Dhaka Metropolitan Magistrate's Court, which is likely to be heard this afternoon.
Earlier on Friday night, police took the Sangram editor in custody as the office of the Jamaat-e-Islami mouthpiece in Dhaka city's Boro Moghbazar came under a mob attack over running a report the same day that termed executed war criminal Abdul Quader Molla a 'martyr'.
Quoting staff of the Bangla-language daily, local media have reported that Muktijuddho Mancha launched the attack, which the Mancha denied.
