Customs Intelligence and Investigation Directorate on Sunday seized seven kilograms of gold worth around Tk 35 million at Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport (HSIA) last night.
On a tip-off, a team of the intelligence force raided a cargo of Singapore Airlines (SQ-446) which landed at the airport at 9:45 pm on Saturday and seized clothes' rolls of a garment factory, said Director General (DG) of the directorate Dr Moinul Khan, reports BSS.
After scanning roll of the clothes, the members of the intelligence found seven gold bars containing one-kg each, he said. Investigation is going on, Khan added.
