Chittagong, Rangamati, Bandarban and Khagrachhari districts remained without power supply on Wednesday due to a technical glitch at a grid substation in Hatahazari.
Power distribution was interrupted around 5pm when the station's breaker stopped working, said Monirujjaman, assistant director of the Power Development Board or PDB in Chittagong, reports bdnews24.com.
Power distribution was back on around 7pm after the glitch was repaired but the majority of the areas in these districts were still without electricity supply.
