Police recovered the slaughtered body of a cloth trader in Konkolosh area in Beanibazar upazila on Friday morning.
The deceased has been identified as Shaiban Ahmed, 55, owner of 'Aboroni Fashion' at Jaman Plaza of the municipality area.
Shahjalal Munshi, officer-in-charge of Beanibazar Police Station, said locals spotted the body of an unidentified man and informed police.
Police recovered the body around 8:00am, according to a news agency report.
Later, family member identified the body of Shaiban.
