Six foreign officials of Karnaphuli Tunnel project mugged

Six Chinese nationals working on the Karnaphuli Tunnel project were mugged at Rangadia area of Chittagong on Friday.

Police said, no suspects were detained over the incident occurred at an area close to Karnaphuli Fertilizer Company.

Locals said the victims are employed by a Chinese construction company working on the tunnel project.

Karnaphuli Police Station OC Syedul Mustafa said a group of four muggers threatened the victims with a gun during the robbery.

The muggers made off with six mobile phones, a wad of cash and credit cards, said local journalists.

According to bdnews24.com, police are conducting a raid on the Paraki beach area of Rangadia, the OC said, adding that a complaint has yet to be filed over the incident.
