Rivals stab youth to death in Chattogram

A young man was stabbed to death allegedly by his rivals in Mohra Kamal Bazar area under Chandgaon Police Station in Chattogram’s port city on Monday night.

The deceased was identified as Mohammad Arafat, a shipyard worker age 19 and son of Mohamamd Hossain.

Abul Bashar, officer-in-charge of Changaon Police Station, said a gang of miscreants attacked Arafat around 7:45 pm and stabbed on his neck and shoulder, leaving him critically injured.

Later, the injured was taken to Chattogram Medical College Hospital where doctors declared him dead.

Arafat had a previous enmity with an owner of a local Gym, said the OC adding that he might have been killed over the issue, reports UNB.
