Police recovered the bodies of six people from Araihazar upazila in Narayanganj and Diabari area in the capital early Sunday.
In Narayanganj, police recovered the bodies of four young men from Panchrukhi Dighirpar area of Dhaka-Sylhet Highway, said MA Haque, officer-in-charge of Araihazar Police Station.
Two pistols, one bullet and a car were also recovered from the spot, according to UNB.
Locals spotted the bodies around 6am and informed police, he said.
One of the deceased was identified as Lutfar Mollah, 36, a car driver of Rampura in Dhaka and son of Mansur Mollah.
Lutfar's wife said she talked to her husband over cell phone around 1 am on Saturday and since then, he remained missing.
Police recovered the bodies of the youths aged around 30-35 and sent those to Narayanganj General Hospital for autopsy, said the OC.
After the post-mortem of the victim's, Residential Medical Officer (RMO) Dr Asaduzzaman said three of the bodies have bullet wounds to their heads.
The heads of the victims were smashed badly using heavy elements and all of them were killed early Sunday.
In Dhaka, a team of police recovered two decomposed bodies from an open field in Uattara Diabari area around 2am, said sub-inspector Rizia of Turag Police Station.
Locals spotted the bodies and informed police.
Later, police recovered the bodies and sent those to Dhaka Medical College Hospital morgue for autopsy, she added.
