Police in a drive have found 0.25 million pieces of contraband Yaba pills worth Tk 75 million from a house at Habirchhara Ghat in Teknaf upazila.
Acting on a tip-off, a team of police raided the house and confiscated the drugs in an abandoned condition around 11:30pm, said Ranjit Kumar, officer-in-charge of Teknaf Model Police Station.
A group of smugglers brought the drugs from Myanmar through a trawler and kept those in the house, said the OC.
However, police could not arrest anyone as the drug dealers managed to flee the scene sensing danger, according to a UNB report.
A case, accusing four people, has been filed with Teknaf Model Police Station, the OC added.
