One in three-day remand over Tashfia murder

A court in Chattogram has granted a three-day remand to interrogate Mizanur Rahman alias Asif Mizan over the killing of schoolgirl Tasfia Amin.

Asif Mizan is a friend of Adnan Mirza,Tashfia's 'boy friend' and the prime accused in the murder.

Metropolitan Magistrate Al Imran Khan granted the remand plea on Friday afternoon, reports UNB.

Earlier, police produced Asif before the court seeking a seven-day remand, said Additional Deputy Commissioner of Chattogram Metropolitan Police (CMP) Nirmalendu Bikash Chawkrabarty.

Earlier on Wednesday, police arrested Asif from Panchlaish in the city.

On May 2, Patenga police recovered the body of Tashfia Amin, 15, a ninth grader of Sunshine Grammar School, from riverside of the Karnaphuli in Patenga Naval Road area.

Adnan was arrested from Jalalabad Housing Society area under Khulshi Police Station in the city on the same day.

Tashfia's father filed a case accusing six people, including Adnan Mirza, on 3 May over the murder.
