Man murdered in Sylhet over trivial matter

A man was killed in a clash over a trifling matter at Raghupur village in Bishwanath upazila on Friday afternoon.

The deceased was identified as Azir Uddin, 50, of the village.

Local people said Azir Uddin locked into an altercation with his uncle Majar Ali over taking shelter at his house as Azir's house was gutted in a fire few days back.

At one stage, Majar Ali and his son Joynal Mia attacked Azir, leaving him severely injured, reports UNB.

Azir was taken to Sylhet Osmani Medical College and Hospital where doctors declared him dead at around 7.30 pm, officer-in-charge of Bishwanath Police Station Mohammad Samsuddoha confirmed the matter.
