A special tribunal Sirajhanj on Sunday sentenced four female members of banned militant outfit Jamaatul Mujahideen Bangladesh (JMB) to five years in prison in a case filed under the Explosive Substances Act.
Sirajganj Special Tribunal- 1 judge Fahmida Kader pronounced the verdict, reports UNB.
The convicts are Tabassum Rani, 32, wife of Mahbubur Rahman of Badullapur village of Salanga upazila in the district, Habiba Aktar Mishu, 20, wife of Khalid Hasan of Fulkot village in Shahjahanpur of Bogura, Rumana Begum, 21, wife of Shaharul Islam of Bochaganj village of Gonindaganj in Gaibandha, Rumana Aktar Ruma, 23, wife of Sumon Ahmed Bijoy of Poranbaria village of Shahjadpur in Bogura.
Police arrested them along with 6 cocktails, grenade making materials, 10 circuit boards and nine books on militancy from a house at Masumpur area of Municipality on July 23 in 2016.
