Four hundi traders arrested with Tk 3.35 million at Benapole

Police detain four with hundi money

Police arrested four suspected hundi traders along with Tk 3.35 million from Shymlagachi area on Benapole-Jessore Highway on Tuesday night. 

The arrestees were identified as Anis Sheikh (26), son of Mohammad Sheikh, Jibon Fakir, (21), son of Lutfar Fakir, Enamul Sheikh (30), son of Abu Bakkar and Riad Sikder, son of Alam Sikder, all of them hailing from Naragati area of Narail district, according to a news agency.

Sharsha Police Station's Officer-in-Charge M Masiur Rahman said they arrested the four with the money after being tipped off that some four to five people were smuggling huge hundi money from India to Bangladesh.

A case was filed in this connection.
