Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) in separate mobile court drives on Saturday fined different people and organisations a total of Tk 64,250 for allegedly violating the government’s social distancing measures amid the ongoing coronavirus shutdown.
Several DMP teams, headed by its executive magistrates, conducted the drives in the capital and also fined the people and vehicles for breaching the order in 67 cases.
Law enforcement agencies with the help of Bangladesh Army have been implementing the government directives on social distancing throughout the country aiming to stem the spread of coronavirus.
