Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) in a special anti-drug drive arrested four suspects from different areas of Dhaka city for selling and consuming illegal drugs.
A special team of DMP, comprising Detective Branch (DB) of police and other law officials, launched the drive in various places of the capital and recovered several pieces of sedative yaba tablets and heroin, according to a DMP statement issued on Tuesday.
A total of two cases were filed under the Narcotic Control Act against the suspects with the concerned police stations in the city.
The drive began at 6:00am on Monday and ended at 6:00am on Tuesday, the statement added.
