The Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) arrested 68 people from the capital city in a regular anti-narcotics drive for keeping illegal drugs.
Different police stations, under the DMP, conducted the drive and arrested the alleged offenders from different areas of the city from Thursday morning to Friday morning.
From the drive, the law enforcers seized 6537 pieces of sedative yaba tablets, 594 grams heroin, and 16 bottles phensedyl, 21 cane beers with some other drug items, according to a DMP statement.
A total of 39 cases were filed under the Narcotic Control Act against the suspects with the concerned police stations.
