Benapole man held with Indian liquor, Phensedyl in BGB drive

Members of Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) in a drive arrested an alleged drug trader along with Indian liquor and Phensedyl syrup from Benapole area of Sharsha upazila early Wednesday. 


The arrestee has been identified as Nazrul Islam (45), son of Mazibur Rahman, a resident of Ghiba village under the upazila, reports a news agency.

 

Lt. Col Ariful Haque, commanding officer of 49 BGB battalion said acting on a tip-off, a team of BGB raided the village in the early hours and confiscated 15 bottles of Indian liquor, 180 bottles of Phensedyl syrup from his possession.

 

A case has been filed with Sharsha Police Station in this connection.
