A Dhaka court on Friday granted a five-day remand to BNP chief Khaleda Zia's special assistant Samsur Rahman alias Shimul Biswas in a case filed under Special Power Act with Shahbagh Police Station.
The court also granted a two-day remand to the party's twenty four leaders and activists in the case. Dhaka Metropolitan Magistrate Sattabrota Sikdar passed the order rejecting their bail prayers.
The court also sent eight female accused to jail for interrogation at the jail gate within one working day, says UNB.
Earlier on Thursday, the investigation officer of the case and sub-inspector of Shahbagh Police Station Mahbubul Alam prayed a ten-day remand of thirty three accused in the case filed under Special Power Act.
