Two more UP chairmen to be suspended over relief distribution

The Local Government Division (LGD) is going to suspend two union parishad chairmen and three members over irregularities during relief distribution following the coronavirus outbreak in the country.

The ministry will issue notifications in this connection on Sunday, said Helal Uddin Ahmed, senior secretary of LGD.

A total of twelve union parishad chairmen and members have been suspended already as they were found involved in irregularities during the government relief distribution among the mass people, reports UNB.

With the latest five union parishad chairmen and members, the total number will be 17, the official added.
